With the implementation of the OFA, Tikinagan Child and Family Services is upholding our traditional ways of protecting and caring for children and supporting families through Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin, Tikinagan's service model. One integral part of Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin is meaningful consultation and collaboration among Tikinagan, First Nations, and First Nation Representative Services (FNRS).

During this session, Niigaanshkaawin will explore key collaboration efforts related to the OFA, including:

  • Information Sharing and Notifications to First Nations

  • Working with First Nation and Band Rep Services(FNRS)

  • Joint Working Protocol
