Neegaan Inabin releases Tikinagan’s second Kikinoniwewi Masinahikan (Guidebook) supporting First Nation Post-Majority Services

The focus of our second Guidebook is First Nation Post-Majority Services.

As Post‑Majority funding becomes available under the Ontario Final Agreement (OFA) and the evolving First Nations Child and Family Services (FNCFS) framework, First Nations are now in a stronger position to design and deliver Post‑Majority services that reflect their own priorities, strengths, and ways of caring.

The 282-page resource was developed to support First Nations who are interested in planning, building, or enhancing their own Post‑Majority programs.

Tikinagan recognizes that First Nations are at different stages in their readiness to deliver Post‑Majority services. Tikinagan’s Neegaan Inabin Program provides a working example of how Post‑Majority supports can be delivered in a way that is youth‑centred, culturally grounded, and responsive to individual circumstances.
